Oz: How do, Debbie?
Debbie: Hi, Oz. Hey, you’re not doing jazz band this year?
Oz: Oh, can’t take the pressure. It’s not the music that’s hard, it’s the marching.
Buffy: We have a marching jazz band?
Oz: Yeah, but, you know, since the best jazz is improvisational, we’d be going off in all directions, banging into floats… Scary.
Willow: He’s just being Oz.
Oz: Pretty much full-time.
Buffy the Vanpire Slayer – Season 3: Episode 4 – “Beauty and the Beasts”
Oz deserved better than to be her getting over Zander, but he was not Tara…. I like him and that werewolf singer.

I agree that he deserved better than to be her Xander rebound, but everything pre-Tara just consists of waiting for Tara to me.

Oz was critical for Willow to start seeing herself as a person of value and not a sidekick – something she passed onto Tara….. something that didn’t need to exchange between her a kennedy slayer with witch willow….ah well. Kennedy didn’t last long. slayers rarely do.

also I am wrong about Kennedy. I just started season 10 of the angel and faith ones and kenndey’s in it.

Very true, but I generally assume people haven’t read the comics. I love them, but I know lots of people who really despise them.

I wish Oz had stayed on longer.

I do but I don’t, because it might have meant no Tara, and that would be a tragedy.
