Quark: Have you ever seen anything so disgusting? The way he’s undressing her with his eyes… And look at his hands!
Odo: What about his hands?
Quark: His gestures, they’re obscene. You should arrest him.
Odo: You’re joking.
Quark: He’s pitiful. Doesn’t he realize she loves me?
Odo: I don’t think he does. To be honest, I don’t think she does either.
Quark: Thanks for your support.

“Wow,” he added, blinking rather rapidly as Hermione came hurrying toward them. “You look great!”
“Always the tone of surprise,” said Hermione, though she smiled.

Giles: Well, alright, l-let’s, let’s, let’s review. Um, so everybody became, uh, whatever they were masquerading as.
Willow: Right. Xander was a soldier and Buffy was an 18th-century girl.
Giles: A-and, uh, your, your costume?
Willow: I’m a ghost!
Giles: Yes. Um… w, uh, uh, uh, the ghost of what, exactly?

Stephen shrugged. ‘No. But you are quite mistaken, you know. I can assure you, speaking in all sober earnest, that he has no notion of it. He is not very sharp in some ways; and in his simple view of the world, paederasts are dangerous only to powder-monkeys and choir-boys, or to those epicene creatures that are to be found in Mediterranean brothels. I made a circuitous attempt at enlightening him a little, but he looked very knowing and said, “Don’t tell me about rears and vices; I have been in the Navy all my life.” ‘
‘Then surely he must be wanting a little in penetration?’
‘James, I trust there was no mens rea in that remark?’

Ezri Dax: I haven’t talked to my mother in almost six months.
Benjamin Sisko: Oh.
Ezri Dax: Last time I saw her was just after I was joined. She came to visit me on Trill and… I was still a little confused. When she walked into my room, I put on a big smile, looked her right in the eye and said “Hi mom, it’s me – Curzon!” Things kinda went downhill from there.

He led a party of warlocks into the marquee as Luna rushed up.
“Hello, Harry!” she said.
“Er — my name’s Barny,” said Harry, flummoxed.
“Oh, have you changed that too?” she asked brightly.
“How did you know —?”
“Oh, just your expression,” she said.
Like her father, Luna was wearing bright yellow robes, which she had accessories with a large sunflower in her hair. Once you got over the brightness of it all, the general effect was quite pleasant. At least there were no radishes dangling from her ears.

I rarely pay much attention to those around me in a movie theater. We all have experienced a myriad of awful behavior from both adults and children, and it’s driven some people to stay home and simply watch movies on Netflix (or pirate them), but I’ve mostly learned to tune them out. There are exceptions, when I want to see how people react to a particular moment in a film I’ve seen before, but mostly I ignore people rudely talking or checking their cell phones and such. However, I started to notice an interesting trend during Into the Woods that brought a lot of questions to my mind, particularly as it pertains to the state of musical films in today’s pop culture landscape. And it all made me wonder whether movie musicals will ever be popular enough again to have a regular place at the table of major film genres, and why, exactly, people stopped loving musicals.
Willow: It’s too bad we can’t sneak a look at the Watcher diaries and read up on Angel. I’m sure it’s full of fun facts to know and tell.
Buffy: Yeah. It’s too bad. That stuff is private.
Willow: Also Giles keeps them in his office. In his personal files.
Buffy: Most importantly, it would be wrong.
