I feel like almost any movie is made better in the theater. Not necessarily because of the screen size, but because of a lack of distractions and having a shared emotional experience with strangers.
Funny, that is partly why I stopped going, realizing how different my responses where to the general audience. not the ha ha kind, eh. Also, I stopped being in the market niche targets for most movies.
I did venture out this year to see the Amy documentary, about Amy Winehouse and it was weird to see no re-enactors, everything was filmed and ready for her “This is Elvis”. Sad really to see how callous the industry is really, actually preferring to re-packaged dead artists, now manageable….
kewl, haven’t seen that flick in a while.

It’s a great one, and I’d never seen it on the big screen before.

most movies fit on home tvs, which are huge now, but yeah, ones where cinematography tells the story, need the bigger screen

Yeah, the industry often seems to have no morals at all. It can be really disgusting.

it can be funny to become part of the showing, I’ve been to RHPS around 35 times over a half dozen venues.
