Quote of the Day

“When you cleaned out this house of anything valuable,” Harry began, but Mundungus interrupted him again.

“Sirius never cared about any of the junk —”

There was a sound of pattering feet, a blaze of shining copper, an echoing clang, and a shriek of agony: Kreacher had taken a run at Mundungus and hit him over the head with a saucepan.

“Call ‘im off, call ‘im off, ‘e should be locked up!” screamed Mundungus, cowering as Kreacher raised the heavy-bottomed pan again.

“Kreacher, no!” shouted Harry.

Kreacher’s thin arms trembled with the weight of the pan, still held aloft.

“Perhaps just one more, Master Harry, for luck?”

Ron laughed.

“We need him conscious, Kreacher, but if he needs persuading you can do the honors,” said Harry.

“Thank you very much, Master,” said Kreacher with a bow, and he retreated a short distance, his great pale eyes still fixed upon Mundungus with loathing.

Quote of the Day

I'm gonna have to go with Dead Boy on this one

Angel:  He leaves no paper trail, no records, that’s incriminating enough.

Xander:  Yeah, I’m gonna have to go with Dead Boy on this one.

Angel:  Could you *not* call me that?

Quote of the Day

‘Sir, sir,’ piped Babbington into Jack’s ear.

‘Hush, sweetheart,’ murmured his captain, whose dreaming mind was occupied with quite another sex. ‘Eh?’

Quote of the Day

Nog: Uh-oh…

Odo: What do you mean, “uh-oh”? We don’t have time for “uh-oh”.

Quote of the Day

She released Harry, leaned over the bannister, and screamed, “Ron! RON! Get up here, quick!”
Ron appeared, panting, a minute later, his wand ready in his hand.
“What’s up? If it’s massive spiders again I want breakfast before I —”

Quote of the Day

I really honed my brooding skills

Willow:  Uh, Angel? If I say something you really don’t wanna hear, do you promise not to bite me?

Angel:  Are you gonna tell me that I’m jealous?

Willow:  Well, you do sometimes get that way.

Angel:  You know, I never used to. Things used to be pretty simple. A hundred years, just hanging out, feelin’ guilty… I really honed my brooding skills. Then she comes along.

Quote of the Day

‘Did you notice my bowing in the pump-pump-pump piece?’ asked Jack.
‘I did indeed. Very sprightly, very agile. I noticed you neither struck the hanging shelf nor yet the lamp. I only grazed the locker once myself.’
‘I believe the great thing is not to think of it.’

Quote of the Day

Benjamin Sisko: You want to know? You really want to know what my problem is? I’ll tell you: Las Vegas, 1962. That’s my problem. In 1962, black people weren’t very welcome there! Oh, sure, they could be performers or janitors, but customers? Never!

Kasidy Yates: Maybe that’s the way it was in the real Vegas, but that’s not the way it is at Vic’s. I have never felt uncomfortable there, and neither has Jake.

Benjamin Sisko: But don’t you see?! That’s the lie! In 1962, the Civil Rights Movement was still in its infancy! It wasn’t an easy time for our people, and I’m not going to pretend that it was!

Kasidy Yates: Baby… I know that Vic’s isn’t a totally accurate representation of the way things were, but… it isn’t meant to be. It shows us the way things could have been – the way they should have been.

Benjamin Sisko: We cannot ignore the truth about the past.

Kasidy Yates: Going to Vic’s isn’t going to make us forget who we are or where we came from. What it does is reminds us that we are no longer bound by any limitations – except the ones we impose on ourselves.

Quote of the Day

Ron struggled for a moment before managing to extract his wand from his pocket.
“It’s no wonder I can’t get it out, Hermione, you packed my old jeans, they’re tight.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” hissed Hermione, and as she dragged the waitress out of sight of the windows, Harry heard her mutter a suggestion as to where Ron could stick his wand instead.
