McCoy: You can’t be serious. That thing is virtually made out of stone!
Kirk: Help it. Treat it.
McCoy: I’m a doctor, not a bricklayer.
Kirk: You’re a healer. There’s a patient. That’s an order.
Star Trek — Season 1: Episode 26 — “The Devil in the Dark”
It is funny how vulgar it sounds – have you seen the improved special effects versions?
they were excellent and well done, unlike how the Star Wars edit versions were, eh?

Yeah, I have the blu-ray that has both the updated version and the original. A lot of the original effects look really dated, and I was impressed at how well done the updates were, especially the shots of the Enterprise. But as for Star Wars, I actually like the Special Edition versions, although I know most people can’t stand them.

I am hoping to still be able to get a set of the ST:OS original and upgraded.

The upgraded Blu-Ray comes with both, so you don’t have to double purchase. At least it did when I bought it a few years ago.

I missed the cute three set tricorder release – hey – I gots an Oscar Challenge for you. I just watched The Duchess with Keiria Knightly – can you run me the nods vs wins she’s had – I know she got one for playing a holocaust nun a couple years after doing that as a gag bit on the Ricky Gervais Extras BBC show.

She was nominated for Best Actress for Pride and Prejudice and Best Supporting Actress for The Imitation Game, but she hasn’t won an Oscar yet.
