The Love Pirate 
I don’t think I could watch 4 movies in a row. Most I’ve done was 2, and that was probably once in my life.

I do 4 in a day every year for my birthday. I luckily had a variety of friends and family join me this year, but none of them stayed for more than 2.

I’m glad you liked it considering this one is probably my new favorite behind Finding Nemo, and that’s only because Finding Nemo was the one of the last Pixar movies I watched the first time without crying (I was 10, I didn’t know better!) . I think Pixar creates some of those rare films that is so complex in history and concept yet remains so simple in execution, and this film’s probably the best example. It’s clever in concept but relatable to everybody, basic in story (it doesn’t even have an antagonist!) but feels complete, and heart-wrenching in emotion (an understatement) but incredibly funny thanks to its comedic cast.
I could go on, but it would probably turn into a thesis. It’s a beautiful story that’s a worthy contender with any Pixar movie of the past. And it has been two days since I’ve seen it and the line “Bring her to the moon for me” still chokes me up. That is, until I remember the line from Fear of “SHE’S CRYING AT SCHOOL!” I don’t know why, that line spoke to me.

I’d have to see it a few more times before I could definitively rank it, but it’s certainly in my top half of the Pixar films. It’s absolutely one of the most creative films I’ve ever seen. It was abstract yet relatable, clever and funny yet simple and emotional.
I for one know I can relate to crying in school, so that moment really hit home for me. But there were many other moments that left me crying, sometimes from laughter. I can’t wait to see it again!
