Ever seen the 2003 version with Matthew Broderick?

I have seen the Broderick version. And while it’s not bad, I found it kind of bland compared to the original. I like Broderick, but didn’t feel he was right for the role.

I haven’t seen the movie, but I’ve seen clips of some of the songs on Youtube and I like the Rock Island version in Broderick’s version better than in Preston’s version.
