  2. I haven’t read this in a long time and have nearly forgotten it. I love the cover, a fine example of a rare artist who actually did their research: most artists simply do horrible horses (and horse derived creatures like centaurs).

I read one book (I believe it was one of the Vicki Austin ones) and kind of went “waht …just… happened?!?!?!” I was expecting high fantasy and it was a sort of mystery and some baloney about what skirt to wear and having to choose between two boyfriends. Bleah. Maybe it was Troubling a Star. Oh well. I don’t like Picasso either. Or pepperoni pizza.

Let us know a bit about what you think of Wrinkle.

      • In fact it irritated me so much that I asked a friend to read it and bounce off me what he thought the problem was. There were lots of things I just Could Not Relate to besides a heroine who worries about what to wear. Fancy Aunts and Money and really can’t she just pick up a sword or something…

Going off to watch the latest Companion on Doctor Who now…
