New Trailer for Captain America: Civil War!

A new trailer for Captain America: Civil War dropped today, conveniently at the same time advance tickets went on sale (seriously?!? The movie is still 2 months away! I don’t think most people need to hurry up and buy tickets just yet.), and you can check it out below. Hopefully I’ll have a more in depth breakdown of the trailer ready tomorrow morning, complete with screenshots, but for now take a look and let me know what you think. There’s definitely more action this time around, and a bigger focus on the central conflict between Team Captain America and Team Iron Man. We get a longer look at some new characters, and even a quick peek at one important newcomer. Give it a go, and then drop me a line in the comments telling me what you think!

  1. I’m surprisingly more optimistic about the movie, mostly for a few things. One, I was hoping that at some point in the movie they would feature Ant-Man leaping off an arrow fired by Hawkeye. It’s a classic move from the comics, and they would have seriously missed out if they ignored it. And it looks like they didn’t! Two, I’m glad to get a glimpse of T’Challa unmasked considering he seems to me the most intriguing character in the movie as both a leader and a hero. Finally, the oh so little thing of THE NEW SPIDERMAN! We can’t say that much about him from only ten seconds, but I’m really excited to see how he’ll turn out. I’m hoping for at least a mix between the witty hero from the comics, but also a little innocence from being a kid being a hero with the Avengers. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Andrew Garfield’s interpretation and I hope Tom Holland can at least give something new.

Can’t wait to see what you think!

    • Were you apprehensive before? I can understand that. The Ant-Man on an arrow moment was awesome! It’s such a comic classic! I’m with you on T’Challa, he’s the character I’m most interested to see more of. His story is so different than anything we’ve seen in the MCU, and more diversity is an important thing. I was exhausted by the idea of yet another Spider-Man, but now that we’ve seen him I’m more excited than I thought I’d be. I like the costume a lot, and I’m curious to see how he works into the film.
